A Taste of the Upside Down: Inside McDonald’s Bizarre ‘Stranger Things’ Burger

 

Although various unique promos are rolling out in several countries, the offerings specifically in Brazil admittedly made me do a double-take. The headliners? Two items, a burger and a chicken sandwich, which are made on upside-down buns, as Marketing Communication News revealed.

Here’s a look at what both the Stranger Burger Sandwich and Stranger Chicken Sandwich include for those Stranger Things fans in Brazil:

• Upside-down bun
• Maple barbecue sauce
• Crispy onions
• Bacon
• Cheddar cheese
• Mayo

Although flipping a burger bun upside down may seem simple enough, whoever came up with that decision for the collaboration in Brazil deserves a tip of the cap for uniqueness.

That’s not all, though, as the menu for the Stranger Things collab with McDonald’s in Brazil will also feature a custom McFloat and several dessert items. Here’s a look at the list:

• Hawkins McFloat with Coca-Cola and vanilla-flavored dairy topping
• Walkie Torta, Mequi’s classic pie with a red berry filling and cocoa crust
• Scoops Sundae – topped with strawberry sauce, puffed rice and spiced caramel-flavored topping
• Code Red McColosso – available with chocolate or caramel sauce, puffed rice, spiced caramel-flavored topping and Biju Black wafer pieces

That’s an impressive list of dessert options, and it’s surely enough to make you want to check what your local McDonald’s is rolling out for Stranger Things.

For good measure, several reports state that McDonald’s in Peru also rolled out the upside-down burger as a part of the collaboration, which Dexerto highlighted.
